7 nights, roundtrip from Longyearbyen

Svalbard in a week, with Silversea’s butlers aboard

Seven nights from Longyearbyen aboard Silver Endeavour, the Polar Class 6 ship Silversea keeps for the high Arctic. The voyage splits the archipelago in two: the northern region first, where the fjords of the north-west and the edge of the sea ice are, then the southern region, where the captain and expedition leader choose among the fjords of the south and west by the ice and the weather of the day.

This is the Silversea way of doing Svalbard: all suites, a butler for each, five restaurants, and an expedition team that takes you out twice a day. Nobody promises a bear. The week gives you the best odds in the Arctic of seeing one.

Signature moments

Five moments that make the week

Svalbard is sailed by the ice, not the calendar. These are the moments the voyage is built around, in whichever order the week allows.

The fjords of the north-west

Kongsfjorden, Krossfjorden and the glacier fronts of the north-west corner, where the first landings of most Svalbard voyages are made.

Day by day

Seven nights, in outline

Silversea publishes this voyage by region rather than by port, because the ice and the weather decide the order. The outline below is how the week is planned; the full programme comes with the proposal we write for you.

Fly in via Oslo and embark in the afternoon. Silver Endeavour sails down Isfjorden in the evening light, with the first briefing and dinner under way.

Aboard Silver Endeavour

Silver Endeavour is the highest ice class in the Silversea fleet, Polar Class 6, with 220 guests in 110 suites, a butler for each and five restaurants. Built in 2021 and bought by Silversea in 2022, she is the ship the line sends to Svalbard, Jan Mayen and East Greenland each summer.
